Geoff & Ev's Wedding 2006

... the day was hot, the bride was beautiful, the car was smokin' hot (enough for me to ponder if I could actually just drive off with it in the morning), and the wedding went off quite well.

I wish the happy couple all the joys in life and all the beautiful memories that have yet to be created. Remember to occasionally stop and smell the roses; that sometimes it's better just to understand and accept than question; and that love is so elusive but yet so great that when it is found, it is meant to be cherished for now and forever.

... for your kind birthday wishes yesterday!

Bettina returned my phone yesterday when she departed Calgary and I have just gotten all my text/phone messages now.

It was a bit sad to see her and Michael go - we enjoyed having them over and the invite is open for them to return anytime they wish to stay with us again. :) And now I'm a year older... now, whether or not I'm a year wiser is yet to be decided.

[Edit] To the Andersen family - thank you so much for the gifts, they were eautiful!!

Drumheller 2006...

... unlike the last time I tried to find a church for dance, when I hit the city limits for Drumheller this time I had every intention to make it there.

It was a blast back to the past for myself and Andre. Neither of us remember when we were last there, but we were most likely little kids. Bettina was also reliving memories, and Michael seemed very engrossed in where and how the dinosaur bones came about. We spent the day after at Chinook and then Smugglers.

The drive out was quite nice and the day turned out to be beautiful and sunny. Next on the agenda; excellent Chinese food at a resturaunt with my parents in tow to order the dishes.

Ahh, the sweet sounds...

... of Danish floating around my ears again. Perhaps I will add a few more words to my vocabulary before they leave. It was wonderful to see them again.

Over the July long weekend, we were able to show Michael some parts of the city, as well as go up the Calgary Tower. Bettina on the other hand walked down Memory Lane as we revisited a few darlings of her childhood; the houses she lived in, Fish Creek Park, and the ol' shopping mall to name a few. Monday was more relaxing as we first drove out to Bragg Creek, checked out the lille mall in it, and then went out to Elbow Falls for a bit of a walk before coming home and BBQ'ing on the grill as well as lighting a fire in what serves as a firepit at the moment.

I believe Oriental Phoenix is on the menu for tomorrow. :)
