Renovation project #1 ...

... over the Thanksgiving long weekend, my sweetie, my colleague, and I went and refloored the entire kitchen and hallway floor.

Suffice to say it was a big job; the old lino looks crappy, and the new lino looks gorgeous. Remainder to put down is the side moulding, and the iron things that make the transition from hardwood to lino as well as that one edge to the step.

For the most part, the whole house is now complete for the most part - tenant downstairs is happy, and I've got myself a gorgeous new floor that took a while to do. There will probably be other reno projects planned someday, but they're probably in the direction of a) me getting more pay first, which isn't anywhere in near future, b) when I start to acquire the house, which won't be in a while, and c) there are other minor "fix-it's" that need to be done are complete.

Thank you so much to Shane and to Andre for helping me out.
