Denmark...

... is the most beautiful place in Europe in my eyes. That of course is a very unbiased opinion. *cough, cough*.

One does not need to wander far to find a church, a tower, or some new little quirk of the city you didn't know existed. In fact it's like wandering through a life-sized history book that claims both new and old in one place.

HovedbanegÄrd (Copenhagen) is a bustle of activity for travellers within, in, and out of the city. Neat, that - in Calgary there is Greyhound somewhere in the southwest, Red Arrow in the southeast, C-trains linking NE, SW/SE, NW, and heaven knows where the train platform is. Pity there is nothing like HovedbanegÄrd in Calgary.

A place I have been to twice and would love to go for the third time is Venezia (Venice), Italy. If you do go and get lost in the many twists and turns of the city, you only need to know a name: San Marco. The locals will point you back there.
