A Purpose.

Once you knew sorrow and pain, but that is now replaced by laughter and joy. Once you were uncertain, and now you have found a path to tread on rather than empty space. And instead of being afraid, you are bold, ready to take on the world. Or one wonders, is the world ready for you?

The snow falls outside, gently, yet bittersweet cold. Such is a time when long distance relationships quickly become the norm, and instead of being by their side, you have a voice and your dreams. And soon... yet, not too soon, you know he will be here to uplift your days with laughter, touch, and adventure; you know that as the constant companion to your heart, he is the one you will sit by the fire to share stories and companionable silence; he is the one you will always find comfort in his arms no matter if the hurricane has become your temporary neighbour, or if you can only see quiet and the starry night sky for miles. You might even be in a boat that is slowly sinking, but you know that once you are there in his arms, you know that somehow, everything is going to be ok. And perhaps you travel two different paths now but you know that someday they will converge in a burst of stars and color, happiness and joy.

Pictures, prose, poetry, all form a never ending dance and pattern. Pattern. Like Music. Song. Dance. All follow patterns that we learn for now and for a lifetime. To be, or not to be? That is the question. Whether tis nobler to shovel the driveway or sit inside with a cup of hot chocolate, is still pondering deep in my mind somewhere. Work is only work if you don't like it, but when you're having fun and you get creative, sometimes it is worth it to indulge in your fantasies. Your dreams, or perhaps the best prank you have pulled in ages.

From time to time, you will see the latest escapade. The first one will come shortly after this, and all I'll say is that tinfoil can be loads of fun. For the most part though, I think I'll keep this blog to be my little writing journal of prose and poetry, what I do best.

For dreams and wishes are what color the distant paths we shall tread in our lifetimes, and it is that which inspires us to keep going, regardless of the odd winter storm that might blind us in a quick moment and the ditch you might fall into but such is life; and by falling into the ditch you are grateful for feet; by your failures, you learn to cherish what is given to you out of privledge, love, honesty, and desire.
